High-speed turning technology of CNC lathe

Adjusting turning of a CNC lathe refers to turning processing at a speed (700m/min~7000m/min) that is 5 to 10 times higher than the conventional cutting speed.
During turning, the cutting temperature will start to increase with the increase of the turning speed. When the turning speed reaches a certain value Vcy, the cutting temperature will have a maximum value Tcy. When the turning speed is greater than Vcy and continues to increase, the cutting temperature will decrease as the cutting speed continues to increase. This is the turning mechanism of adjusting turning.
Because the cutting of different workpiece materials is less than the energy difference. The suitable high-speed cutting speed ranges are also different. For steel, it is 380M/min or more, for cast iron, 700m/min or more, for copper, it is 1000m/min or more, for aluminum, it is 1100m/min or more, and for plastic material, it is 1150m/min. Min above is the suitable range of high-speed cutting cutting speed.
The applicable occasions for high-speed turning are:
(1) The cutting speed of aluminum and aluminum alloy workpieces can be very high.
(2) Casting processing.
(3) High-strength materials that are difficult to machine, which are difficult to turn at normal speeds.
(4) For workpieces with large machining allowances, the advantages of high-speed turning and high removal rate should be fully utilized.
(4) Thin-walled parts, high-precision workpieces that are easy to be deformed by force.
(6) Thermal sensitive parts, high-precision workpieces that are easily deformed by heat.
The commonly used tool materials in high-speed turning include: ultra-fine grained cemented carbide, coated cemented carbide, ceramic materials and superhard materials.
